Software Development Engineer

Ethno Multimedia Group is not only looking for a Software development engineer, but a potential partner who share our passion for digital innovation and want to take part in shaping its future. This passionate and talented individual will participate in the design and development of software applications showcasing our digital media music platform Chataboom™ and others. Chattaboom is a music application that allows users to communicate with each other by using artists songs. We have access to over 10 millions songs from major and independent artist. Some Key Responsibilities include:
Designs, constructs, implements and tests new software features and enhancements to existing software. Takes responsibility and pride in deliveringon-time,
with high quality, and in accordance with all established coding standards.
Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills to proactively communicate with other development team members.
Documents practices developed with the team as well as application enhancements.
Shares knowledge with peers.
Participates in establishing software development quality standards and ensures that all projects follow those standards.
Skills/Requirements/Qualifications:
Develop solutions for searching large amounts of data
Architect product solutions using Java, C#, SQL, XML, Spring and other web technologies
Five plus years of software development experience (design, code, and test).
Demonstrated ability to create design document elements from established project requirements.
Three years of Java development. Solid knowledge of multi threaded programming is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in database code development. Three years of PL/SQL development required.
Solid knowledge of J2EE
Solid knowledge of Linux and BASH scripting.
Solid understanding of Oracle database concepts.
Solid front end client server background.
Understand the software development lifecycle.
Demonstrated the ability to work well individually and within a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Passionate about self-improvement and team excellence.

Intern Editor: Ethno Multimedia Group is looking for an intern who will edit video, including but not limited to interviews, performance footage, promotional materials, etc.
Candidates interested in the video editing position(s) must be passionate, talented, self-motivated, organized, dedicated, professional, personable, team-oriented, and most importantly reliable. Professional experience is not a requirement, but it is a plus. More importantly, candidate(s) must have a portfolio for review.
Job Qualifications:
* Must be knowledgeable about video editing techniques, equipment, and software.
* Must have the ability to effectively communicate ideas orally and in writing.
* Must know how to effectively operate and maintain video editing systems and related equipment.
* Must have a very good command of music editing and storytelling
* Ability to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner
* Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment
* Ability to multitasks
* Ability to prioritize
Job Responsibilities:
* Edit video content of interviews, video testimonials, etc.
* Edit video content to help market and promote the brand
* Make technical adjustments (color, audio, etc.) and alterations (transitions, special effects, etc.) to video files
* Manage inventory of video files
This is a great opportunity to mature as a video editor, strengthen your portfolio, and gain significant experience. Monetarily, this position is unpaid. However, the position offers invaluable opportunities and the possibility of a full time position once the internship is finished.
Candidates must be fluent in professional editing programs such as Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, etc.
